Hi,I'm in the market for a new TV as I've outgrown my 32" and am looking at something bigger. There is a 50" Panasonic that looks OK (TH-50C400Z) however Panasonic's site is a bit light on information. The Noel Leeming site claims that the TV has a 50 Hz refresh rate, but Panasonic's says that it has a "100 Hz Backlight Motion Rate", whatever that means. Is that the same or different from the refresh rate, and if they're the same then would it be safe to assume that NL's site is wrong? There are no pictures of the back panel; my current Sony has easily accessible ports on the back but my parents' Philips has the ports on the bottom where it's a pain to plug things in. As the Panasonic only has two HDMI ports I expect to swap plugs every now and then, so the easier they are to access, the better. The other issue is that I can't find a manual for this TV. Panasonic's site proudly proclaims that "Dot Noise Reduction" tampers with the image. Does anyone know whether there is a way to turn this off?Is there anything else that I should be aware of? As an example, my parents' Philips cuts the edges off the image and there is no option to change that. It also has a "smart" (read: dumb) automatic backlight that turns itself off when the image reaches a certain amount of black. When watching movies set in space, this results in the backlight flickering off and on as the blackness passes the non-adjustable threshold. Obviously I'd want to avoid these issues! Thanks for any comments :)
