Hi.

Based in Wellington.

Have some really nice hifi gear, but to get the performance i want from a subwoofer im looking at spending >2k.

Im looking at spending around 1200 for one huge subwoofer that will go down to 10hz wiyh a 17hz tune. Its the kjnd of subwoofer that makes things fall off walls at max volume. If you want to go cheaper you can cut the spend about 800 to 1000. This would get you something similar to svs pc13 ultra. You could build better than dual pc13 ultras for around 1500 a pair at a guess.

Im looking at the following for my build.

15 or 18" dayton ultimax driver. 200 to 280usd plus postage.

Behringer inuke 3000dsp $650 local

sonotube $150ish less if split a tube with someone.

Wood for end caps.

cabling and connectors $50.

Anyone want to join me?
