Timer Recording Panasonic DVD Recorder DMR-XW390

Have Panasonic DMR-XW390 DVD Recorder. When timer recording from TV if using Prog/Check when inputting prog how do you type a space. Other problem if putting in Sequence all the repeated episodes are also put in which overloads. Is there anyway of getting rid of unwanted episodes. Going away for 3 weeks
