Hi there.I am installing a couple of older cinema amplifiers into a locked cupboard. I require them to power on/off with a relay as opposed to a remote. Does anybody know of a way to bypass the standby function on a cinema amplifier so that when mains power is applied, the amplifier powers up and continues playing a previously determined/selected source. I would like to avoid rewiring the circuitry.I am aware that there are numerous devices that can output an IR/RS232C/IP string as a result of a trigger and I often install them; I would like to utilize something more basic and cost effective on this project. The amplifiers I will be using are a Yamaha RX-V565 and an Onkyo NR509. Neither of them (like most other cinema amplifiers) have a trigger input. Cheers.
