Ok so this is not going to be a full on review or anything but it is just my opinion. I don't know enough about TVs to give specs etc
I've just purchased today a konic 49" 4K TV. Retail is $1477, do NOT pay full price, there are same sized 1080p TVs or even cheaper that are superior in every way. I got this brand new at an absolute steal with two years warranty and then CGA coverage too.
This is replacing my 2011 Sony Bravia x520c 40". Which is a bulky ugly looking thing.
I got the konic purely based on price, size, looks and being new helped. It has super thin bezels and can lift super easily
It will be used for Netflix and my Xbox one.
I've tried out the witcher 3 and it looked better then the Bravia, I've not tried any 4K content as I don't have anything to play it yet.
While in Harvey Norman I got the staff to hook up a 4K blu ray playing interstellar. The LG beside it looked grainy and washed out to a certain point.
I'm pretty happy with my purchase considering a 1080p of the same size was double what I paid for this.
There are some issues however.
The stand is flimsy, I understand it's very light so doesn't need to be heavy duty but still.
Sound is disgusting
Headphone port makes my Logitech theatre system at high volume distort or had an annoying buzzing sound. Turning it down on the logi control sorted it
Lack of customisation in the UI, hardly any in fact.
Ugly UI and very basic
But for the price I paid you really can't beat it, and it has the benefit of being a 4K screen too so I'm happy. After selling my Bravia the TV will have cost me $196 :)
So ask any questions you may have, since many people are reluctant to buy these TVs, I will be getting an Xbox one s so can test 4K out properly
