Best media player and source for 4K content

I just bought the TH-65EZ950U 65 on the weekend, seems like a stunning TV. Obviously I want to feed 4k Content into it as much as possible.

I joined Netflix (I know, late starter hehe) as thought I'd have a go at streaming 4k content... I knew I was being overly hopeful but had my fingers crossed, but no. I live rural and my connections maxes at 5.1mbps *sigh* - The real kicker is 100m down the road can get VDSL which is probably enough according to Netflix specs!

So, I'm hesitant to buy a 4k Bluray player as I won't get any change from $500 and will use it less than 10 times if I'm honest.

Option 3 and from what I can see the only real option to get 4k content for now is the download. So I maxed out my mighty connection and secured a couple of 4k rips, sprinted to the media room and started to view Passenegers to find them talking in spanish... C'mon guys, surely you are feeling my frustrations by now! Being a little bit clever I managed to find the options and found 3 audio files, Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian. *sigh* - went back to PC and looked at the file, it has 5 audio tracks, French and English DTS. So apparently This $9k TV that has built in HEVC and played the file beautifully dopesn't decode DTS, that most decent HEVC files use for audio. Personally it feels like Panasonic missed a trick here, but a trick I doubt they will fix in an update. I know they have to pay for a licence for each codec so obviously DTS wasn't on special that week.

I have 5 media players here none of which do 4K, well one does but its 30fps only (seriously)

I've had a quick look around at media players and there is a huge amount of options... I'm hesitant to get a cheap one from aliexpress as their specs can be somewhat interesting to say the least. The new popcornhour only has overseas PSU's and my last attempt at a raspberry pi 3 could net get digital audio out into my amp cleanly.

I wouldn't have thought it was a big ask though... I need

* clean design and fast loading and simple (rules out HTPC)

* Plays 4k nicely, smoothly and HDR support woult be amazing

* Wired Lan port (seems to be lacking on most) could possibly do without and just use USB and HDD's

* dolby digital and DTS separate audio out.

* Nice scraping system

Is that really too much to be asking? :| I wouldn't have thought so

Also any other great ideas for 4k content I may have missed?
