I have trouble reading small text on our TV and it is very frustrating. My vision with glasses is as good as it can be but I still can't quite make out lists like YouTube subscriptions and many Kodi program lists. Our layout cannot be changed and a bigger TV is also not an option at this time. I have tried everything I can think of but I can find no practical solution for this. Our Sony TV has a zoom function but it is worthless, as is the zoom on Kodi. Android supposedly has a built-in screen magnifier, but I have not been able to get that to work with any of my devices, including the Nvidia Shield, which is the main one used with the TV.I have tried everything I can think of but have not found a solution. What I really need is some way to send the HDMI signal from the TV to my viewing position on the couch, where I have a notebook and tablet within reach. I have a splitter but I need a way to transmit the signal and make it viewable on one of my devices. I don't know if this is possible, or what kind of gadget I might need if it is. I don't need audio and the quality doesn't have to be high, just something that can echo the TV picture on another device so I can read the damned screen. Is there any way to do this?
