Hi.I want to be able to play spotify through my amp but with the telly turned off. My 1st gen Fire TV connects to the telly via HDMI and to the Yamaha amp via Toslink. It plays through the amp and external speakers fine when the TV is on, but when I turn off the TV the Spotify application is paused.I've turned of CEC/Viera Link in the Fire TV and the telly, but turning off the telly continues to pause Spotify. Is there anyway around this? Alternatively, I was considering a chromecast audio, but that has been discontinued. A voice controlled device, like an echo dot (or the new Amazon Fire Cube/MiBox, time for an upgrade), that can feed a signal to the amp would be great, preferably if the speaker on the echo dot can be muted will the music is playing through the amp and external speakers. Is this a possibility?
