Above TV was an insurance replacement approx 3 years ago for their 70" SXRD that went on the blink. The good folks on this forum gave me some great advice and replacement has been excellent - until now..In oct last year it started powering off and immediately back on - all within 2 to 3 seconds. Relay clicked, illuminated 'Sony' logo on front went dark then it kicked back on again. Incidentally, it started doing this about 2 weeks after I hung it on the wall. It was floorstanding prior. Completely random resets, no flashing power lights indicating something is wrong, nothing recorded in the service menus as not working etc so checked all cables and good lady thought the power cable was loose (ish) and claimed to pushed it in a bit further. All seemed fixed. Kind of laughing at the power cable being the culprit or so I thoughtTwo weeks ago it started again.... ARGHhhhhh!! Service and Diagnostic menu still says nothing wrong. Its a bit hard to get the hand up the back of the telly to check the power cable is pushed in all the way but I had a shot and am pretty sure it's pushed in as far as it will go. The plug pushes in sideways into a hole along back of the TV set and does have some play - front to back (as you face the screen) . Not sure if it was like that previously but when wiggled etc no issues, crackling or power related buzz of any kind. Any clues prior to me calling out a service tech if it starts to get worse. My experience is $$$$ with these sets on repairs. It might just need to fall over and get smashed, giving me an excuse to buy a new one.1) Any clues as to what is causing it - some things I could try? We watch SKY HDI about 95% of the time so always happens on that input.2) What is a comparable set. Appreciate tech has moved on in last 3 years. Thanks for any adviceGed
