Sony KDL-60R550A TV and video files from USB stick

Hi,

Have the new TV and its great. But am having some difficulty with playing files from USB flash drive.

1. With the drive formatted FAT32, the TV will recognise the drive and play the files. Awesome! However, the 4GB file size limit has quickly become apparent.

2. With the same USB drive formatted ExFAT (using a mac, 10.8.5, and the same video file copied on) no files are detected by the TV.

Is there some specific way to format the drive as ExFAT? I guess I might need to do it from a windows machine?
