Has anyone been to a movie in the Civic, Auckland lately? I went last week to my first film of the Film Festival. They have a new (to me) digital projector, and the results looks very nice. I wonder what the projector's specs are? The resolution, right to the corners is impressive, and the contrast is more than adequate, to say the least. The Civic's screen is a big one too. There was a little black crushing here and there at times, but it's hard to say whether it was in the movie, or was projector setup.The film was a documentary, Vivan las Antipodas. Not all the sequences were of the highest quality, some parts looked like SD, but the HD bits, which were the majority, were outstanding.
