Hi everyone My television (Samsung series 4/5ish 46inch 'bordeaux') is getting a few grey hairs in it's old age. I'm experiencing a problem where it sits there, clicking away, for at least an hour before turning on. In fact it didnt turn on at all last night. I've been meaning to get this looked at for a while, but life has been a bit hectic lately. Doing a bit of research it seems to be a known problem with some low quality capacitors (as documented here. Does anyone know where i can take this to be quoted and fixed? Due to some travel plans we're not in a position to buy a new TV for a while so would like to investigate the interim repair cost. Worst case scenario, i'll pick up an older model $700 50inch plasma, but will get a ballache about it from the wife and would prefer to upgrade to one of the new silver samsung smart-tv's in the new year when budget finally allows. We're based in central Auckland - any help much appreciated PS: crap time for the set to finally give up, right when the olympics are on!
