I'm looking for a recommendation on a good set of in-ear headphones in the $100 to $150 range. My current in-ear phones (Klipsch Image S4i) died suddenly yesterday - the left side gave a small spot of static, and then went dead. I suspected a loose wire but all kinds of jiggling failed to fix it. Disappointing, because they're just over 6 months old. I'd be taking them back to the retailer, except they were purchased at Best Buy when I was in the States last year, after the hotel "misplaced" my previous set of phones, a very nice and reliable set of V-Moda Remix. So taking them back on a warranty claim isn't really an option. But on the plus side I have a timely IRD tax refund, and JB Hifi are having a possibly great sale today, so this might be a good opportunity to get a decent set of in-ear headphones at a good price. Can anyone recommend a good set? I'm looking for the following features: - in line controls (play/pause, back/forwards, volume up/down) + mic - decent bass (V-Moda was nice and deep, Klipsch was okay, but a little tinny) - flat cable would be nice (the Klipsch were pretty hard to tangle - though evidently easy to break, so the cable needs to be strong)Looking at JB Hifi, I've been wondering about Sennheiser's MM50iPhone, or possibly even the MM70i (if the discounts are steep enough). They also stock Sol Republic. Are they any good?
