Receiver/Amp Died - Recommendations?

We have a Onkyo TX-SR603 which appears to have just died. Turning it on this morning and none of the audio works on any of the speakers.

When I switch to Zone 2 and drive the outdoor speakers, it works fine. Any input on the internal speakers however gives absolutely nothing. No Dolby symbols show on the display like they usually do etc.

So it looks like it's time for a new one? I doubt this can be fixed?

If so, advice up to the $1500 or so mark on a good receiver/amp to buy? Want value for money ideally.

We have 5x speakers which are sony ones from our home theatre more than 10 years ago, all quite solidly built which have been going excellent so those probably won't be replaced. Two front, one centre, two rear, no side speakers.

Zone 2 is necessary. This one had a limitation where digital audio couldn't be used on Zone 2 - i imagine new ones don't have this problem these days.

Quite disappointed by the lack of listings on Heathcotes website, this is the only viable candidate. They are where we generally prefer to buy from, so we'll look in store too.

Computerlounge is an option too, they just have Yamaha however

I like the idea of network DLNA streaming but its not totally necessary. Our TV lacks any sort of media playback so it would be handy to be able to play media. I don't care for iPod/Apple compatible features but they all seem to have this these days anyway.

Suggestions?
