Settings for 2 channel music through AVR

Hi,

Just fiddling around with my pioneer vsx 920 to find the best sounding way of listening to my iPod.

I've gone to M1 memory 6 which Has all the eq,reverb etc turned off.

I've set my front speaker's to large with no sub and also put the eq on my iPod to none.

Basically trying to get it to work like a 2 channel amp so the only adjustment's I can make are bass and treble.

I think this sound's better,more natural? Like a big mini system kind of.

Anyone else had a fiddle around with their AVRs to get a more 'musical' sound?
