I have a set of rechargeable glasses (Model number TY-ER3D4MW) for my Panasonic plasma tv and wanted to find out if just a normal usb to micro usb cable would (should) re charge them.Over the years I have lost the cable that came with them and I went to dust them off and use them the other day and of course they were flat. The manual for them says that when charging the red indicator light will show however when I plug in a standard usb to micro usb cable this does not happen. If I turn them on when plugged in however they do work but you have to keep them plugged in so this indicates to me they are getting power ok however its not charging them as you can leave it charging and 1. the indicator light does not come on and 2. if you leave it on charge for a couple of hours then disconnect the cable and turn them on they are dead.Battery is supposed to last 10 years (according to spec) , and they have only been used probably 3 times in 2 years (the 3D is really just a gimmick)I have tried 3 different usb to micro usb cables and all do the same as per above.Anybody use just a standard usb to mico on their Panasonic glasses or has a genuine cable they could lend me to see if I need to get a genuine one.
